Preview: Jordan Rakei at Union Stage

Australian R&B act Jordan Rakei is returning to North America for the first time since signing with London-based independent label Ninja Tune; his first stop is right here in the District! Rakei is expected to perform songs from his latest album, Wallflower, which has been widely criticized and received praises from the likes of Clash and NPR, "[the album] daringly skirts pop, R&B and indie rock. It's an experimental variant of the sad bastard music we fall sway to when life turns blue." Rakei is R&B's best kept secret, but not for long, so make sure you catch him at Union Stage next Saturday, February 24.
